--You Are Not What You Eat--

You are what you eat". Surely you’ve encountered this sentence or most likely given this advice by someone else. This quote gives the notion that to be healthy, you need to eat good food

While we agree with the importance of connecting human health with nutrition. What we don’t agree with is separating healthy eating with the cultural and emotional aspects of food.

There will be days where you have to enjoy ice creams or pizzas to celebrate, and days where you enjoy more fruits and veggies to make sure your body gets the nutrients it needs. This is normal!


It DOESN’T mean that when you eat pizza today = you’re a failure or you’re unhealthy.

We’re not saying that you should let yourself eat pizza for all meals, but that to be a TRUE healthy eater, you must let yourself enjoy all aspects of food be it nutrition, cultural or emotional without guilt, shame or punishment.


肯定你有見過這句話,或在別人給你意見時聽過。這句話蘊含的意思是想健康,就只能吃對身體有益的食物。


雖然我們明白人的健康與所攝取的營養息息相關,但是不等於要將健康飲食從飲食文化和感受層面分隔開。


有時候,你可以吃冰淇淋或薄餅來慶祝某件事,而有時候,你會吃多一點水果和蔬菜去確保你的身體有足夠的營養。這都是正常的!


今天你吃了薄餅不等於你失敗了或不健康。
